Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization that provides aid in nearly 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters.

MSF has been active tending to the victims of the conflict in Syria since 2011, operating medical facilities inside Syria, as well as supporting directly more than 100 clinics, health posts and field hospitals.  In addition to its work in Syria, MSF is also working with patients from Syria who have fled to Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq.
