Fr. Benedict Kiely, a Catholic priest in Stowe, Vermont, was as frustrated as all of us, so he came up with a way to show solidarity and start conversations. Through his ministry, he’s producing bracelets, lapel pins, car magnets and zipper pulls with the Arabic letter “N”, which stands for “Nasarean,” a derisive term in the jihadist world since it labels people as followers of Jesus of Nazareth.

Like the Nazis did with the Jews by labeling them with the Star of David, ISIS labels Christian homes and businesses with the Arabic letter “N,” marking them for persecution. Please consider buying and distributing to friends and family. Items sold in lots of 10, with proceeds going to Aid to the Church in Need.

Speak up! Our culture has become so superficial and vapid. People are dying because of their faith. Others are running for their lives with nowhere to go. If it were you, would YOU want people to help — or look away?

If you are a member of a church parish, synagogue or non-jihadist mosque, consider having your local house of worship sponsor a refugee family — help them find housing, language lessons, gainful employment. In other words, live your faith — and show them the true American Dream. This movement is in its infancy.
